Sourcing trip

I left to China on the 19th April. I felt very sad and down, cause i am going to miss my little princess Maurice and prince Mozac very much :( Mummy miss both of you every second. I wore an entire black outfit that resembles my mood on that day.

I am usually like that, leaving in a sad mood but when i start working, i am all hyped up by the new fabrics, my printing samples and etc.

Finally, a cosy bed!!  It was a very long and tiring journey. I left home at 11am and reach the hotel only at 9pm. Sucks, that was 10 hours wasted but it is worth cause i am sourcing for my A/W collection that will charm your hearts.

Pampering Myself Day :)

We went to Toni & guy.... AGAIN!!! Yes. Still remember my pastel pink color? The color is so hard to maintain. Just ONE week, the color has fade and i had to go back for a touch up. Apparently this is common for pastel hair colors. Good thing Mr Victor needed a hair cut too. He cuts his hair every 3 weeks... which i think is normal for most guys.

Finally, we are done.

We went to Isetan after to get my pink color lipstick that i wanted badly. I have to get something since today is pamper me day.

The makeup artist assisted me patiently as i tried a few pinks. It is hard to choose the right pink as my skin is quite tan.

My Mr Victor Tan, suggested to have lunch at Sri Nirvana in Bangsar. I have not eaten there for a long long time, ever since we moved out from Telawi 3. I missed the food sooooo much. We reached at about 1pm and look........

Product shooting day for our online store!

We had good fun today, shooting our SS11 'treasure' in the office. Mr. Mah Kok Wah who is in-charge of our online store, has to do everything from transferring stocks, ironing the garments, background setting and packing. I was the professional photographer.

An Interview with NU YOU

Thank you Alicia and Nu You magazine for the write up on Gallo by Thian, The Gardens. Alicia was wearing a nice tweed jacket that is sweet and yet professional. It was easy talking to her and we had a long chat. 

One of her question was why did i choose to be a fashion designer? 

It made me think of something bad i did when i was in college. I always wanted to be a fashion designer but my dream shattered when my dad insisted on practical subjects such as marketing...bla bla bla. I followed his order but kept failing in every subject :p 

I couldn't stand being the least-bright one in class and decided to secretly enroll in a fashion design course without his knowledge. He found out only on my convocation day. I remember him asking, why is the fashion show so long and when is the graduation ceremony starting? Then i confessed. He was speechless and shocked. Finally when they announce that I won the best collection, my dad cheered and jumped. I guess my passion and hard work have changed his mind and from that day onwards he gave me his full support in my fashion career path. Thank you Daddy!

 Khoon Hooi was one of the judge. Lol, look at the hair and make up on the model.
